ASCIICam ("we", "our", "the app") is a browser-based camera application that converts your camera feed into ASCII art. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, what we don't, and how we handle what we do collect.
We do not collect, upload, store, or have access to your photos, camera feed, or any visual content you create with ASCIICam.
All image processing happens entirely in your browser on your device. Your camera feed is never transmitted to our servers. When you capture, save, or share a photo or video, that content stays on your device or goes directly to the sharing destination you choose (e.g., saving to your camera roll, sharing via your device's native share sheet). We have no ability to see, access, or recover any content you create.
When you create an ASCIICam account, we collect:
Account data is stored securely by Supabase, our authentication provider. We do not sell, share, or rent your email address to third parties.
If you subscribe to ASCIICam Pro, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not collect or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status from Stripe.
ASCIICam stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage:
This data never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings or by signing out.
We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies. We do not track your behavior within the app.

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@asciicam.app. Upon deletion, we remove your email and account data from our authentication provider. Since we never store your photos or camera data, there is nothing else to delete.
ASCIICam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you via the email associated with your account. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
